Data Carrier Take benefit of the freedom to access your data everywhere you go from PC The Data Carrier combines the functional features of a USB hub and card reader with the flexibility of an external hard drive case for 3.5" IDE hard drives. With two front side USB ports and two rear side FireWire ports equipped Data Carrier offers numerous connection possibilities. Using the FireWire ports, the Data Carrier can be connected to a computer and offers an additional port for another FireWire device. A 24-in-1 card reader whose four slots accept all currently used memory card formats is integrated into the front of the case. The case is black and constructed of high-quality, heat-dissipating aluminum, but the real advantage of the Data Carrier's design are the side panels which curve outward to form a stable base, meaning that it can easily stand vertically without the need to attach an extra base piece. The Data Carrier is equipped with both an internal 40-pin IDE and a 4-pin power connection. An AC adapter for the power supply is also included. The USB hub and card reader draw power from the USB B port on the back side of the device. A USB A-B cable is also included in delivery. The Data Carrier supports Plug&Play and is suitable for use with Windows98SE, ME, 2000, and XP as well as MacOS 9.1 and upwards and MacOS X.
