Vacuum cleaners
Vacuum cleaners can be divided into 4 basic groups - classic, stick, robotic and manual. Classic and stick vacuum cleaners are affordable and can easily cope with routine household cleaning. The disadvantage can be more difficult to handle, especially in less accessible places. Handheld vacuum cleaners, on the other hand, can cope with this. Increasingly popular are robotic vacuum cleaners, which take care of cleaning your house all by themselves.
The most important parameter of a vacuum cleaner is suction power. Unfortunately, this is not usually specified by manufacturers, due to its poor measurability. Therefore, manufacturers indicate the motor power or the so-called power of the vacuum cleaner. The higher the power input of the vacuum cleaner, the more suction power it has.
Bagged or bagless?
Bagged vacuum cleaners are usually cheaper than their bagless counterparts and allow you to get rid of accumulated dirt more easily. However, the bags cannot be reused as the dust quickly clogs the pores of the vacuum cleaner bag, preventing airflow so that the suction power of the vacuum cleaner gradually decreases and the vacuum cleaner is less effective at removing more dirt. Bagless vacuum cleaners are usually among the higher-priced models, as their price reflects the high level of technology used and the more complex design. Generally, however, you will never need to buy replacement bags. Since some types of vacuum cleaner bags are now quite expensive, bagless vacuum cleaners may end up being a cheaper alternative, even though their purchase price is higher.
All vacuum cleaners have a filtering system that rids the air of dust particles, dust mites and pollen when the vacuum is running, which is especially appreciated by users suffering from allergies and pet owners. There are no standards for vacuum cleaner filtration systems, but all current vacuum cleaners use one of the following types: standard filters, HEPA filters and lifetime filters. Standard filtration is sufficient for pet-free and allergy-free households. The higher the number of filtration layers, the better the standard of filtration. HEPA filtration is designed to ensure the filtration of as many allergy-causing particles as possible. They are therefore suitable for asthma sufferers or other allergy sufferers. Lifetime filters never need to be changed, but there is no harm in occasional maintenance.
