Solar controllers
The solar controller is the "brain" of any solar system."
The solar controller is connected between the solar panel and the battery. Its task is to extract maximum energy from the solar panel. The charge controller optimizes the charging process and is also equipped with many indispensable safety features.
PWM technology - the advantage is lower cost, for a 12V battery the solar panel must consist of 36 cells, for a 24V battery the panel must consist of 72 cells. It is therefore particularly suitable for 30 - 175Wp panels.
MPT technology - are modern solar controllers that achieve about 30% higher yield compared to PWM. The controller works like an inverter, that is, it can process higher input voltage and lower current to lower voltage/increase current and do so with high efficiency. We can use any solar panel, especially panels of 285Wp and above. Panels can be connected in series with MPPT controllers.
