PS/2 is the designation for the six-pin mini-DIN connector, which allows the connection of the keyboard or mouse to a computer. PS/2 connectors are not mechanically coded, differentiated by color. The green PS/2 connector is for connecting mice, the blue connector is for keyboards. On some modern baseboards we can find only one connector - purple-green. This connector is used to connect both keyboard and mouse. PS/2 is nowadays fully replaced by USB connectors.
