Beurer PO 60 BT, oximeter with pulse oximeter, measures blood oxygen saturation and pulse, suitable for use at home and on the go, also suitable for alpine sports and aviation, wireless connection with your smartphone via Bluetooth
The Beurer PO 60 pulse oximeter is used to non-invasively measure the oxygen saturation of hemoglobin in the arterial bloodstream (SpO2) heart rate (PRbpm) and pulse modulation index (PMI). The oxygen saturation of hemoglobin indicates what percentage of hemoglobin in the arterial blood is saturated with oxygen. It is therefore an important parameter for assessing respiratory function. A pulse oximeter uses two light beams of different wavelengths to measure the pulse, which fall on a finger inserted inside the device.
A low hemoglobin oxygen saturation value mainly indicates diseases like respiratory diseases, asthma, cardiac insufficiency etc. A person with a low hemoglobin oxygen saturation value is more likely to experience the following symptoms: shortness of breath, increase in heart rate, decrease in performance, nervousness and sudden sweating.
Chronic and known low oxygen saturation requires monitoring with a pulse oximeter and follow-up with a physician. A sudden decrease in oxygen saturation, with or without accompanying symptoms, should be addressed immediately with a physician; it may be life threatening. The pulse oximeter is particularly suitable for patients at risk, e.g. people with heart disease, asthmatics, but also for athletes and healthy people who are at high altitudes (e.g. climbers, skiers or sports aviators).
The pulse oximeter is suitable for use in both private environments (home, travel) and in the medical field (hospitals, medical facilities).
