Asus (officially ASUSTeK Computer Inc.) is a Taiwanese electronics manufacturer that is one of the most well-known brands in the computer and notebook industry. It is known for its quality products such as laptops, motherboards, graphics cards, monitors and networking equipment.

Company History

Asus was founded in 1989 in Taipei by four engineers - T.H. Tung, Ted Hsu, Wayne Hsieh and M.T. Liao - who had previously worked at Acer. Their first success came with the development of motherboards for Intel processors, which led to a strategic partnership with Intel. This move helped Taiwan become the center of the global computer hardware industry.
In 2007, Asus launched the groundbreaking Eee PC, one of the first mini-notebooks that defined the low-cost laptop segment. Later, the company expanded its portfolio to include premium Zenbook ultrabooks and the ROG (Republic of Gamers) series of gaming devices.
